Tourism and
Italy are synonymous as the country is a paradise to those who love history. In
Italy you can find archeological sites that date back to the Roman and Greek period. If you would like to visit Italy, do not forget to visit Rimini, which is referred to as the capital of Italy’s seaside tourism and nightlife and is also one of the most popular beach resorts in
Italy. It has about 15 kms of fine sandy beaches with some of the top most bathing facilities, lined with nightclubs, hotels and restaurants.
Rimini lies in between Venice and Ancona and can be reached by trains which go up to Bologna and
Milan. The station is in between the historic center and the beach. It can also be reached by air, as the
Federico
Fellini
Airport is quite nearby.
The center of beaches and nightlife is the Lungomare Augusto and the Marina Centro in
Rimini. The beaches that are farthest from the center point are more family oriented. There are many private beaches which can be hired on daily basis. These beaches are equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas and cabanas.
Rimini is also considered to be the capital of Italian nightlife by many tourists. You can find many bars, night clubs, restaurants, pubs and arcades in the central beach front along the Lungomare Augusto and Vile Vepucci. Some of these centers are open all night. Most of the big discos are located on the hills in the west. You can also get shuttle bus service and blue line free bus service that connects the discos to the main beach area.
In addition to the nightlife and beaches,
Rimini is also a historic city. Some of its historic attractions include the Arco d’Augusto, a Roman remain which was erected around 27BC and an ancient Roman bridge known as the Ponte di Tibero, which was built in 21 AD.
